I took two Sea Shells from Michael's and some more of the items are from the same store.

If you click on the picture it will open it up bigger for you to see the shine on it. I mixed water and Metallic Champagne Gold together (I just eyeballed it). I like the way it turned out

This is the completed work, I just love the way it looks.

FLOWER #2

Here is the second flower that I tried today. This one was so fun. I found this video on Youtube also. it is called Corrugated Board Flower: I used Folkart Metallic Pearl White Paint and Red Pepper Re-Inker to make the color. Then I took some Gold Rub and Buff for the top. Here are the pictures from what I did:

HOW ABOUT A BUTTERFLY

Okay, I just love this lady work. She made this butterfly from a template that she made. Her YouTube name is Jennings644 I went back and now I can't find the video (I am so sorry, I do not know what happened to it). Okay, this is what I did. I had some clipart of butterflies and I just cut one out. I folded it in half and then I took some card stock (cut to the size you need). I then folded the card stock that I cut so on the that end, I traced the butterfly. Then you open the paper you should have a full butterfly

Now the only thing you have to do is, have fun coloring it. I used my clear enbossing powder also. I hope you enjoy it.

I have been so busy, I just started school once again. I do not remember school being so hard. I am back into the medical field. Then there is everyday life. I know that I have not been here, but I have been here praying for each and everyone of my follower and your families. I have been reading your posts. I also have been trying to craft when I can. Here is a book from one 12x12 sheet of paper. One of my followers had did this and I have seen this before and yes, I also have made them. But I really do love the way she did her's with the tags. Here is the VIDEO on how to make it. Shabby beautiful Scrapbooking by Misty, now for the video. And now for what I made.........

This is the cover, I used a music paper and just black card stock, the flower was a sticker. And a ribbon so it will close...

BLACK GIRLS ROCK

I was watching this show on BET, it was called Black Girls Rock. I just loved the show and the singer was AWESOME. So I wanted to do something for my sister~in~law for some time now. I got these vintage bags from this Awesome Esty Shop. The shop name is Shabbybeautiful. So this is what I came up with for my Black Girl Rock. I hope she enjoy what I came up with.

First I took this bag and teared it up into small pieces and I use Black Spot on the ends.

This is how it look's with her picture on it. I also got some flowers the same color of her's This is the bags I got from Misty, they came 30 in a pack for 3 or 4 dollars. I will be buying more from her and will be using these bags again.

I made these posted notes in this purse. I had fun making these, here they are.

Okay, here is how to make them:1. Start with a 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of Textured Card Stock.2. On the 8 1/2 side, score at 2", 2 1/2", 5 3/4 and 6 1/43. Fold the card stock on the score lines4. Punch 2 holes with your crop~a~dile5. Cut a 9" (or how much you like) ribbon for the handle6. This will fit a 3x3 posted pad7. Have fun decorating

I used Velcro to keep my purse closed. You can use any fastener you like. As always Happy Crafting

I had to sit down and think about this one. Because we all know someone whom we have prayed for or hear that someone else family member this has touch. But I have some very close to me who has or still is fighting with some form of Cancer. So I was happy to make something. Later I will post a board that I altered and I will be putting the names of some of the people that we know and still praying for. Here is my first project for the Link Up 4 Pink. I hope that you enjoy this first post. The stamp says take some time, this is why I have the bath stuff there. I just love this bra (I do not wont to make it again).

I also made a book so that you can just sit and soak and write your thoughts down maybe add some pictures.

2 RECIPES FOR YOU ALL FROM THE FOOD NETWORK

Bake 4 russet or sweet potatoes, 10 fingerlings or 12 new potatoes at 400 degrees F until tender, 1 hour for russets, 50 minutes for sweet potatoes and 30 minutes for fingerlings and new potatoes. Split open, fluff with a fork and stuff as desired.1. Caramelized Onion Cook 1 large thinly sliced onion in a skillet with 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt until caramelized, 30 minutes. Spoon onto baked potatoes. Top with sour cream.2. Mushroom-Onion Prepare Caramelized Onion Stuffed Potatoes (No. 1). Saute 2 cups sliced mushrooms in olive oil until soft; add chopped dill and salt. Spoon onto the potatoes; top with the onion, sour cream and more dill.3. French Onion Cook 1 onion as for Caramelized Onion Stuffed Potatoes (No. 1). Scoop the flesh out of 4 baked potatoes and mash with the onion, 1/4 cup beef broth and 1/2 cup shredded gruyère. I always wanted to make one of these, I have always thought that it was not right for me to make one. So I talked to my husband and he said that I was making a big deal out of nothing, so I jump on it. So I took........

Okay I got the masks from Michael's it was 3 in a pack for $1.99, then the small box came from there also it was $.97, Now onto Wal~Mart. I found this pack of Round Dowels 16 in a pack and it was $.97 and the paint is Folkart it is 656 Metallic Blue Sapphire (love this color) cost is $1.47. First I painted every part of this project. I had to paint the box and the mask twice.So I made the box first, I painted the flowers the same color blue. 1 I painted all the way and the other I painted just the tip of the flower. I took a white butterfly and some pearls and lace and added them. I took some of those same pearls and cut them and just hot glue them one on top of each other.Now for the mask I took some bling and feathers and all the white ribbon along with some bling mesh.

I just love the way they turned out. I will be making more, I also love to alter boxes and other things.The white butterfly on here came from Michael's also it was a 3 pk for $1.99. If you would like to see the pictures bigger just click on the photo.

Okay I have so much of scraps. Some I cut the wrong size, some I cut and did not like on my project. Some I just did not use.

Now I got tried of just looking at them (I could not use them all). So I made a small book to put some of them in. I only used some of the tags. I will be writing some words to bless my day on them.

As you can tell none of the tags are the same size. And I put some of the tags on top of others.

I came across this Youtube video and I just had to make one. Now I just needed to know what she did and I could go from there. I used Graphic 45 paper (you know I love that paper). I am going to post her video also, just so that you can make one of your own if you like. I just love her fans, she is just good. I love to make things my own. I brought this tree from a flower shop that was going out of business. I love these trees just the way it is, my husband showed me how to make it also (LOL). But anyway I wanted to do something else (you know me) so I took some spray. I made my own, I took some water and Metallic Champagne Gold paint from Wal-Mart in the craft area. Mix it every good and used a paint brush just so I could only paint the flowers. I then took some bling and put a small amount on the bottom of the pot (it was hard not to go crazy her) lol. A BOOK 4 SOME~1 AT CHURCH

I went to church last Sunday and in front of my husband and I was a lady whom we knew for sometime now. I watched her write her notes in this book, I then thought to myself it would bless me to bless her with something to take notes in. I was going to the store and buy something then I said to myself SELF YOU SAY YOU ARE A CRAFTER. So I came up with this book for her, I hope she along with you enjoy it. So lets get started:I took a Composition Book and this paper (Graphic 45) and Gold Puff paint and Gold Rub and Buff:

This is how it looks on the front, I colored the dresses with the Puff Paint. I took white roses and sprayed them with the spray I made from Metallic Gold Paint and water:

The next part is the inside of the book:

The last part is the tag page in the back of the book. I took a envelope and sealed it then I distressed the whole thing and used a Boarder Punch. I made two tags to go into it for her:

This post is for my husband Pastor Perry Barr.His birthday is tomorrow (July 16), and I wanted to make something just for him. I have been so blessed to have this man in my life. We have great kids in there own way and equal great grandkids in there own way. But this is about the man. I have been with Perry a long time and we have been through a lot. In 1999 we had grow so far apart so we was going through a really bad divorce. You know the kind where you can kill him (yes I did feel that way). Two weeks before the divorce was to be coming to an end. God said NO, it is not my WILL. So 11 years later he is now a Children Pastor and I am still his wife. YAY ME. I was not standing on God’s Promises for my family. Even when we are not doing what God tells us sometimes he has to get us to a place where we can’t do anything but what he has told us to do. I always tell myself that I married the man I wonted but God brought home the man who HE wanted me to be married to. I am truly bless to be Mrs. Monique Barr. This is the one and only man who has loved me for me, and let me tell you that is not easy. Great job baby. And Happy Birthday we love youNow for the craft

Now for the frame. I brought it at Michaels, and this is what I did to it. First I took a very old book that the paper was already yello and glue it down on the frame. Then I sprayed it with some gold mist that I made. I put two clothes pins on there, one is up and one is down because He is the head of my home. Now for the bows, I wanted to do something fun with them and this is what I can up with. As for the cross is because he is a Pastor, he is my Pastor also. The flower is because there was a time he brought me a flower that looked like this one. If you look close at the flower you will see the stick pin. This pin came from Touched By A Butterfly. I will have another project that I am working on now with more of her butterflies. If you have not went to see her yet, you really need to. I ALTERED A FOLDER

I got up this morning at 5 a.m. and I got to work. Now it did not take me that long to do this but I have alot of other things to do. First I took a plain folder and had fun. I did see someone on Youtube do this so this is not my idea. How ever this is the way I would do it. Next I took the color Cocoa from my ColorBox and went all over the folder then I used my Tim Holtz Walnut stain ink and went over the top of the Cocoa ink. Then I used some Studio G Yellow Glitter Glue all over the top of the two colors. Next I Distress the end of all the pictures and the folder itself. Now the hut was on to find the ribbon and the flowers and what ever else I ~~needed~~ wanted on the folder. Next is to just add the things ~~that~~ ~~just fell in to my lap~~ I found. So, before I put the ink onto the folder I stamped the front only. (I will be using the stamp with the words on it from now on). Next thing to do is just add things where they go. As Christians we are expected to demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit because the Spirit of God abides in us. In Galatians 5:22-23 we find the following definition: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” There are many misconceptions about this fruit. People look at the list of attributes and they are convinced that God has not given them one of the “fruits”, and so they live with remaining sin and a sense of defeat in certain areas of their lives.
If you look at the passage again you will notice that the word FRUIT is NOT plural. It is only ONE fruit, so if the Spirit of the Lord abides in you, then the attributes that characterize the Spirit live there as well. If you are not experiencing one of the characteristic of His Spirit in your life, pray that the Lord would cleanse you and purify you. He is into the business of completing those He saves. My prayer is that you would draw near to the Lord and that He in turn will draw near to you…
